Innovating in the
AECO Industry
Real Estate Decision-Making
Developing and managing real estate at scale is an incredibly complex and capital intensive undertaking. While many real estate organizations have systems in place to facilitate analysis and decision-making about their space needs, the problem usually boils down to this: “How can streamline decision-making so that I can move a project or series of projects forward?”
Refactoring Design Processes
Architecture is a collaborative practice. Bringing a building—especially a large scale commercial project—from a loose concept to a fully realized permit-ready and construction ready set of plans takes an army of subject-matter experts and decision-makers. Fragmented workflows and knowledge transfers are notorious and known problems in the industry, and often form the basis for any new innovation. To truly move the needle, though, a product team needs to get hyper-specific about whose problem they are solving and how.
Occupant Experience
How do people experience a space? What are the behaviors and patterns that influence that experience? How might the people designing those spaces better understand what people need, especially when those needs are a moving target?
